Timothy Meader, son of Samuel Meader (1711-p. 1773) [0017] and his wife [Elizabeth or Mary], was born in Durham May 12, 1741 and died January 1, 1819. On October 17, 1773 he married Joanna Springer, daughter of Jonathan and Abigail Springer of Haverhill, Grafton, NH.

He was Town Clerk of Tamworth for forty years. He signed a document in Durham on June 29, 1775 to the effect that he would Join a military company, arm and resist the British forces [History of Durham, I, 128], thus signifying he was not a Quaker.

They had no children.
